Construction Materials

Bagged cement, aggregate and other dense construction materials move as bulk bags and double-stacked pallets, secured to the wall with Ty-Gard DS®.

Problem

Dense bagged loads shift and tear under impact

Bagged construction materials are dense and often stacked as FIBCs or double-stacked pallets, so every shift under braking or rail coupling carries more force than a lighter load. A torn bag or a tipped pallet spills product across the floor and forces a reload. One-way wood blocking and dunnage have to be rebuilt for every load and leave debris at the dock.

  • — Dense bagged and palletized loads shift with more force under braking and coupling impacts
  • — A torn bag or tipped pallet spills product and forces a reload
  • — One-way wood blocking and dunnage must be rebuilt every load
