Ty-Gard · How to use
Four steps per band: prepare the anchors, load, tension, seal. Each Ty-Gard DS® band takes about three minutes with the Ty-Tool® and a bonding roller.
Step by step
The same four steps apply to drums, IBCs, FIBCs, pallets and loose cargo. The load plan sets the band position and the number of bands.
Cut two sections of Ty-Gard DS® and one section of Ty-Patch DS® for each band required. Peel away the release liner and apply the exposed adhesive surface to the sidewall in the predetermined position. Apply pressure with a bonding roller or squeegee.
Finish loading the cargo and pull the Ty-Gard DS® strips across the face of the load, overlapping the ends by approximately 1 ft (30 cm).
Insert the Ty-Tool® down through the overlapping bands and place the magnet. Cut excess overlap if necessary. Use the small wrench to tension.
Remove the release liner from the 5 ft length of Ty-Patch and place it across the tensioned Ty-Gard DS® barrier. Apply pressure with a bonding roller or squeegee.
What you need
Everything ships in the kit or from the mobile dispenser; no drilling, nailing or wood blocking.
